Madden Sustainable Forestry Inc. is a fourth generation logging company that specializes in all aspects of the logging business. We have the most up-to-date logging equipment which includes cut to length, tree length, chipping, ground mulching and mat hauling.
We are certified Master Logger, CLP, PLC and fully insured. Madden Sustainable Forestry Inc. looks to serve the land owners best interest and manage the land for a healthy future forest.
Derek Madden is one of eight members of the Madden family currently in the logging business. Together, the Madden family employs over 100 people and are responsible for harvesting 450,000 tons of wood annually. The family has been in the timber harvesting business since Alson Madden (Derek's great grandfather) began logging with horses in 1945.

Low Impact
Yards vary, but we have the ability to adapt to them. This particular yard is just off the main road, and soft.
Due to soft ground, we laid timber mats down to support the equipment, preventing ground disturbance.
Yard space is utilized to it's full extent, piling wood on either side of the timber mats and keeping the machines off the soft ground.
Once the work is complete, we can use our grinder to mulch and level the ground for a much cleaner appearance.
If the property allows, our side-by-side can be used to assess the land with you, the land owner. Options and goals for the property can be discussed during the assessment. This tracked vehicle leaves little to no footprint on the land and allows even the elderly and disabled to move throughout the property with ease.
Community Involvement
The Madden family was recognized during the 2017 Children's Miracle Network Telethon for their generosity and presence, where a check for $117,105 was presented
to the EMHS Foundation Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Training and certifications are a must in the industry today. We take pride in having the latest training available. All jobs are overseen by a certified Master Logger, and all employees are CLP and PLC certified. If you are more comfortable with a forester overlooking the job, they are available to us also. Rest assured that you are working with loggers that keep up with the latest industry standards.
